Earl Bray, age 88 of LaFollette, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 20, 2024.  He was born on October 20, 1935, to the late Jim and Lissie Bray. Earl was a Fincastle Church of God member and a 51-year member of the Labors International Union of North America. He also enjoyed listening to Gospel music and spending time with family, friends, and his fur babies, AnnaBelle and Baby, and he loved everybody.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife Joan Bray; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers James, Epps, Lewis, and Ted Bray; sisters Nellie Lowe, and Edna Davis, and his twin sister Pearl Taylor; and his son-in-law Todd Erdman.

Earl is survived by his son Larry Bray of LaFollette; daughter Mary Portner and husband Kenneth of Illinois, Betty Erdman of LaFollette, and Yvonne Weyer and husband Walter of Jacksboro; sister Jean Talbert and husband Chris of Illinois; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; in-laws Suzanne and Bill Huskey, Duane and Kathy Eversgerd, Larry and Angie Eversgerd, Darlene and Mark Lohman and Linda and Rodney Lohman; special niece Terri Mulvaney; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 pm on Sunday, June 23, 2024, in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home (305 E. Beech Street, LaFollette). The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Fincastle Church of God with Rev. Mike Smith officiating—interment following the funeral service at Powell Valley Cemetery.
