“Our community near and far showed up to support Community Health of East Tennessee once again. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who contributed to make this night the event of the year,” said event committee chair Olivia Lobertini.
This annual event is CHET’s largest fundraiser each year and provides important funding for the community health clinic.
All funds raised at the event will go directly to CHET and its programs. Donations help support programs such as CHET’s Health Clinic, Dental Clinic, Family Services Center, Black Lung Clinic, Recovery Court, Generation Hope, Mental Health Court, and Imagination Library.

The event was named in honor of Ed Wheeler, whose “philanthropic enthusiasm consistently supported” CHET’s “endeavor to raise funds and awareness for an organization very near and dear to his heart. Ed Wheeler will always be a part of this event.” Organizers said.
This year’s Down and Derby Fundraising Committee consisted of Committee chair, Olivia Lobertini, Katherine Anderson, Katherine Ayers, Hannah Bray, Donn Claiborne, Myranda Davis, Tracy Lobertini, Raewyn Snodderly, Elizabeth Tamer, Carol Wheeler, Alison White and Emily Wilson.
The Committee extended its thanks to all the “amazing sponsors and everyone who donated and helped with this annual event.”
