LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- Ledford Donnie Dople caused a stir at Ross and ended up arrested.
On Dec. 23, around 11 pm, LaFollette Police Officer Anthony Mahar was dispatched to the Ross Store after a store employee called 911. There was a male in the store falling into shelves and trying to steal stuff by removing the security tags, the employee said.
When Mahar arrived at the store, he found Dople and allegedly saw him take several items, putting them in his pocket. Mahar also noticed the jacket and shoes Dople was wearing still had tags and security tags on them, according to a report from the LaFollette Police Department.
Dople was allegedly stumbling into the shelves and falling over. Mahar removed the items from Dople and placed him under arrest.
While Mahar was searching Dople, he allegedly found a bag of white crystal substance that Dople allegedly admitted Meth. Also found in his pocket were two green pills that were Clonazepam and four Suboxone strips.
Dople, 55, 1157 Pinecrest Road, LaFollette is charged with public intoxication, possession of schedule II, possession of schedule VI controlled substance, probation violation and possession of schedule III controlled substance.
