Donnie Boshears, 84, Jacksboro

Donnie Boshears, age 84 of Jacksboro, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Cumberland Village Nursing Home after an extended illness. Donnie was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church. Donnie owned and operated Don Boshears Construction for over 45 years. Donnie was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Betty Boshears, Father and Mother: Joe Riley and Lola (Lay) Boshears, Sisters: Aileen Blakeley and Dorothy (Dot) Cooper, Brothers: Carl Boshears and Douglas Boshears.

Survived by:

Sons: Michael Boshears (Laura) and Donald Boshears (Tina)

Grandchildren: Amanda Boshears, Joe Boshears (Megan), Loren Humphrey (Josh), Lacey Boshears (Tanner), Chelsea Boshears, and Hubert Kitts

Great-Grandchildren: Maddox, Drew, Jaxson, Abigail, Elizabeth, Haley, Lane, Tristen, and Cason

Brother: Melvin Boshears

Sister: Shirley Ann Boshears Bright

Several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Cumberland Village Nursing Home and Suncrest Healthcare for Donnie’s care during his illness.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Cedar Hill Baptist Church, with funeral service to follow at 7 PM, Rev. Jimmy West and Rev. Bryan Burge Officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10 AM on Monday, July 28th, at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Bakers Forge Cemetery for 11 AM Interment.
