Debra “Debbie” Richardson, born April 29, 1957, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025.
If you knew Debbie, you knew she had many layers. She was sassy, complex, and deeply human. She loved her dog, Leo, deeply. He was her constant companion and brought her comfort and joy.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Faye Saldana and Isaac Richardson; her step-parents, Frank Saldana and Mary Richardson; and her brothers, Terri and Jeff Richardson.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Kaiser, and son-in-law, David Kaiser; her partner, Tim Hatmaker; her brothers, Steven Richardson and Shawn Saldana; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Debbie worked as a nurse for many years and was very good at what she did. She was clinical, direct, and confident in her work, taking pride in being competent and capable.
After a medical retirement, Debbie moved from Michigan to Tennessee, where she found a slower, more laid-back pace of life that suited her. While there, she met Tim, someone who understood and appreciated her spicy personality. She enjoyed making her home her own and had a natural eye for decorating, valuing her independence even when it was difficult.
No services are planned at this time. Debbie is remembered with peace, and we find comfort in knowing she is at rest and reunited with loved ones
