Darlene Ann O’Brien passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.  She was born on September 30, 1947, to the late Adolf and Regina Wyant Meyer. Darlene enjoyed music, cooking, gardening, and art. 

In addition to her parents, Darlene is preceded in death by her brothers, Leonard Meyer, George Meyer, and Frank Meyer; sisters, Eleanor Heitmeyer, Ruth Stuber, and Dorothy Harpring.

She is survived by her sons, Mark O’Brien and wife Sue of North Carolina, and Mike O’Brien of Ohio; daughter, Mary Melton and husband Pedro of Duff; brother, Al Meyer of Ohio; sister-in law, Becky Meyer; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Darlene wished to be cremated.

The family has entrusted the care of Darlene Ann O’Brien to Martin Wilson Funeral Home, “Where Families Matter Most.”

  1. Hope things are going ok. I know Darlene had a long extended illness. She was so well taken care of by Mary her daughter, her husband Pedro, their son Logan & fiancee Courtlyn. Her last years were good ones. The Beech Tree Manor hospice was very good to her until the end. She no longer is suffering my dear friends. Love & Prayers to All of You including family & Friends.
