Monday is muggiest day of season with a high of 90 and a chance of showers and storms

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- There is a HEAT ADVISORY for counties north, south and west of Campbell County in effect Monday from noon through 8pm Tuesday for heat indices as high as 108°F.

Please stay hydrated and limit time spent outdoors. If you are outdoors, take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning. Plan outdoor work for the cooler hours of the early morning or late evening. Check on the elderly. Make sure outdoor pets have access to shade and plenty of water.  As you travel, remember to look before you lock.

Isolated thunderstorms will cause heavy rain rates and frequent lightning in particular in higher terrain.
