It’s rinse and repeat on Tuesday with another hot-n-muggy day of 90s, chance of showers-n-storms

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- There is a HEAT ADVISORY for counties north, south and west of Campbell County in effect through 8pm Tuesday for heat indices as high as 107°F.

Please stay hydrated and limit time spent outdoors. If you are outdoors, take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning. Plan outdoor work for the cooler hours of the early morning or late evening. Check on the elderly. Make sure outdoor pets have access to shade and plenty of water.  As you travel, remember to look before you lock.

Heat indices as high as 107°F Tuesday. Showers and storms will favor higher terrain during the PM hours Tuesday but increasing coverage of thunderstorms area-wide for Wednesday and especially Thursday.

Isolated to scattered showers and storms are expected today through Thursday, with Thursday bringing the highest chances. Localized heavy rainfall and flash flooding, along with isolated strong and gusty winds up to 50 mph, are possible each day.
