LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- On Saturday, Lieutenant Shane Tielman with the LaFollette Police Department allegedly saw a woman on the South 5th Street side of the Main Street Shell-Market cutting up advertising signs belonging to the market. The woman was unsteady on her feet and almost fell over multiple times, according to a report from the LaFollette Police Department. Tielman made contact with the woman who was identified as Angela Nicole Gibson and noticed she had slurred speech, could barely keep her eyes open, was not making any sense with her words and could not stop moving around.
The reports notes that Gibson nodded off several times mid-sentence while speaking with Tielman. The lieutenant noticed a large knife in her boot and removed it for their safety. LaFollette Police Officer Cheyenne White was requested to come pat Gibson down for additional weapons.
Gibson gave consent for a search. Recovered during the search was a blue pill crusher with half of a Alprazolam and a crystal like rock weighing approximately .5 grams, believed to be Meth. In Gibson’s front left pant pocket was a clear bag with five whole Alprazolam, also found during the search was a Suboxone pack with an orange film Suboxone. When Gibson was searched at the jail, a corrections officer found a large clear bag of crystal like substance believed to be Meth, weighing approximately 6.5 grams.
Gibson, 44, 1134 Old Long Hollow Road, LaFollette, was charged with schedule II felony, possession of schedule III controlled substance, introduction into penal institution, and possession schedule IV controlled substance. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-10/24/2024-6AM)
