JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The Campbell County Regional Planning Commission approved two minor lot subdivisions, one minor lot combination and a Right of Way (ROW) abandonment at Thursday evening’s meeting.

The ROW Abandonment for Dykes Lane Cul-de-sac at La Follette was approved by the planning commission and will now go before the full county commission for final approval. According to County Planner Jordan Rockwell, he has “verbal affirmation” on the ROW abandonment from County Road Superintendent Ron Dilbeck, but that Dilbeck will “have to provide a letter to the county commission as well, and the commission will have to approve it before it is official.”

Also approved was a Minor Lot Combination for Jordan Harris on Powell Valley Shores Circle at Speedwell and a Minor Lot Subdivision for Gary Tackett, on Patty Hill Rd. in Caryville. Both were approved on the recommendation of Rockwell, who said they were “simple” and that “all looked good on both.”

A Minor Lot Subdivision (Final) was approved for Lindsey Bowlin, on Bowlin Cemetery Lane at Caryville, however, the approval was “contingent upon the owner getting their septic permits sorted out.”

“We approved it contingent on them getting their septic sorted out and then we will sign off on it,” Rockwell said.

According to Rockwell, the easement on the property “looks good” and that both he and Ron Dilbeck looked at it. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/12/2024-6AM)
