JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The Campbell County Regional Planning commission members met Thursday evening, approving one minor lot subdivision for White Oak Missionary Baptist Church on White Oak Road and discussed an issue on Gillis Lane.

First up was the minor lot subdivision for White Oak Missionary Baptist Church.

Planning commission members approved the minor lot subdivision after a very brief discussion.

“They are just buying a chunk of property to add to their property to build a fellowship hall,” said County Regional Planner Jordan Rockwell, who recommended approval.

Also on the agenda was an issue on Gillis Lane which was brought before the planning commission by Elaine Dinicola.

The county commission recently reasserted that Gillis Lane is a county road. As part of that, the planning commission plans to send out letters to other homeowners in the area.

“I make a motion to put this before the commission to send out letters to the land owners in the area stating it is a county road,” said Planning Commission member Dewayne Gibson.

The planning commission approved this motion. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/03/2024-6AM)
