County Commission meets in regular session Monday, 6pm

A vote on the hiring of retiring Finance Director Jeff Marlow is expected

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Whether or not to hire retiring County Finance Director Jeff Marlow in a temporary year-long position to write guidelines and policies for the county’s Hotel/motel tax collection will be voted on by the full commission at Monday night’s regular monthly meeting. The meeting begins at six o’clock at the courthouse.

Three county commissioners on the budget and finance committee said they were not in support of this amendment. This included Commissioner Beverly Hall, Commissioner Scott Stanfield and Commissioner Dewayne Baird. The amendment passed the budget and finance committee in a ten to three vote last Monday and will be voted on by the full commission tonight.
