JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The Cougars, on a brief two-game losing streak, welcomed the Halls Red Devils to John R. W. Brown Gym on Tuesday night. Campbell swept Halls last season, so Halls came with revenge on their minds.

The Red Devils blitzed out to a 14-5 lead early in the first quarter and led 27-16 at the end of the first frame. The Cougars outscored Halls 24-16 in the second quarter to diminish the Devil’s lead down to three, 43-40, by halftime.

It was a back-and-forth affair in the third quarter. The Cougars led by as many as four, but then Halls snapped back and started draining long shots to lead by seven after three quarters, 64-57.

In the fourth quarter, the wheels fell off the Orange-and-Blue wagon. Halls left Brown Gym with the revenge it sought in emphatic fashion, winning 88-65.
