Community to participate in WLAF Meet the Candidates

Eleven candidates have agreed to take part in tonight’s forum

LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- This evening at 6:30, WLAF is hosting a Meet the Candidate forum for the November Election and public questions will be a part of it. The forum is brought to you by Big Creek Marine.

The forum airs Thurs., Sept. 19 at 6:30pm. It begins with David Chambers, the unopposed Caryville Mayoral candidate. Following Chambers, will be the LaFollette City Council candidates then the LaFollette Mayoral candidates.

This will be a live radio and television broadcast. Connect on radio to AM 1450, FM 100.9, Alexa on your Amazon enabled devices and for the telecast tune in WLAF-TV Channel 1089, 1450wlaf.com, Roku TV, YouTube, Facebook, Amazon Fire TV or Twitch.

A segment of the program is featuring an opportunity for the community to call in with questions for the candidates. Any question presented to the panel must pertain to the operations of the city and upcoming election. Personal questions will be screened out.

To have your questions presented to the candidates:

-Email it, at anytime between now and the forum, to wlaf@1450wlaf.com. The subject line should read: FORUM.

-Call it in tonight during the forum. Questions will be taken from 6:30pm until the end of the forum. The number is 423-562-1450.
