JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Commissioners heard an update on the Chamber of Commerce and Tourism from Executive Director Missy Tackett who reported the Chamber “continues to grow its memberships.”

She also reported on several events the chamber attended and upcoming events as well.

“We attended several community events such as National Night Out, Louie Bluie, the Jellico Fall Festival and others,” Tackett said.

The Chamber also participated in the Tennessee State Fair (at Lebanon) by setting up a display booth to represent Campbell County.

In August, the Campbell County Chamber of Commerce received two grants, including the Three Star Community Grant.

Tackett also spoke about attending the rural tourism seminar and the governor’s conference in September before closing with comments about upcoming chamber events.

“We have two events coming up including the Trail of Treats in October and our Shop Local in December. Our Pig Roast is October 24th, and we will be having a Lunch and Learn hosted by Campbell County High School on Dec. 12th; we’ve been busy,” Tackett said, adding that she appreciated the support of the county commission.
