Former coach and athletic director is new assistant principal at Hardin Valley Academy
JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Though Brad Collette’s (above photo) tenure as the director of athletics at Campbell High was less than a year, a couple of decisions he made during his time will have positive, lasting effects. He hired a football coach with a storied career in Mark Pemberton, a first for Campbell Football.
Then he championed the plan for a new weight room, an auxiliary gymnasium, and multiple other athletic improvements at CCHS that will benefit “all sports at the school”. It includes the renovation of the current weight room to get it “up to date and make it state-of-the-art,” according to Collette.
“Our search for Brad’s replacement is underway,” said Ben Foust, Campbell High Principal.
Collette grew up in west Knoxville, graduated from Bearden High School and returns to familiar territory with this career move.
Collette officially resigned Monday, according to Foust, “I’ll be an assistant principal, not the athletic director, at Hardin Valley Academy,” said Collette.
“I will still be pulling for the Cougars,” said Collette. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-07/31/2024-6AM)
