The Campbell-Powell game on WLAF presented by Premier Weight Management & Esthetics

KNOXVILLE, TN (WLAF)- Campbell and Powell defeated each other by a handful of points in splitting their two regular season games. However, it was all Powell in the third meeting coming in the District 3-AAAA semi-finals on Saturday night at Karns.

The Panthers made shots when Campbell could not and came away 57-35 winners to advance to Tuesday’s district championship game. The Cougars (16 & 14) play for third place Tuesday at 6pm against Halls at Karns.

Gavin Cox, the Mills Doors and More Player of the Game, scored 11 points after halftime and finished with 13 while Luke Browning added 11. Jake Hatmaker, Keegon Nelson and Will Croley each tallied three points with Gavin Owens scoring two points. Hunter Dotson and Brady Hatmaker played and did not score.

The Cougars tip off against Halls from Karns on Tuesday night in the third place game at 6pm over the WLAF Doyle’s Tire Sports Network.
