During the winter storm, city officials urge you to refrain from unnecessary travel

LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)- “The City of La Follette has activated its Emergency Action Plan due to a possible severe winter weather event this weekend,” said Stan Foust, City Administrator.

Fire, Police and Public Works are on standby with extra personnel to handle any emergency situation that may arise within the city.

“La Follette Public Works snow plows will be removing snow from the streets as quickly as possible. We urge you to please refrain from any unnecessary travel,” said Foust.

Foust adds, “I have also spoken with La Follette Utilities, and they have initiated their Emergency Action Plan and will be on standby for the severe winter weather event for any power outages.” (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-01/21/2026-6PM)
