Tickets remain to the annual event being held at the Ball Farm Event Center

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- The Campbell County Children’s Center welcomes you to its annual dinner and auction event beginning Tuesday night at six o’clock at the Ball Farm Event Center. A few tickets remain at $30 each and can be purchased by calling 423.562.4190.
The evening’s featured speaker is Cameron Walker. Walker joined the University of Tennessee Athletics executive leadership team as Deputy Director of Athletics of Competitive Excellence in January 2021. He was promoted to his current role of Senior Deputy Director of Athletics/Chief Strategy Officer in November of 2024.
He has been the football sport administrator for the Vols since his arrival on Rocky Top along with serving as the sport administrator for men’s basketball from 2021-2023.
“Fundraising is such an integral part of the non-profit world and to have this special time to gather and advocate for the children of Campbell County is important. Our goal each year is to raise enough money which will fund the purchasing of emergency based items for clients as well as continuing to provide victim support services”, commented Billy Ball, Vice-Chairman of the Children’s Center Board of Directors.
The Campbell County Children’s Center was founded in 2001 to provide a safe haven for sexually and physically abused children. Instead of being interviewed countless times at different locations, a child can tell their story to one caring and specially trained professional in a child-friendly environment where the child knows he or she will be safe.
Now more than ever, the Children’s Center needs support, according to CEO Tracie Davis, who said the organization has been extremely busy in all three counties that they serve (Campbell, Claiborne & Union). “Our existence as an organization depends upon donations and grants,” Davis said.
