January 10 will be the chief’s last day with the department

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- LaFollette Police Chief Steve Wallen is ending his almost 16 year career with the LaFollette Police Department.

Wallen submitted his letter of resignation on Thursday, December 19, to City Administrator Stan Foust.

He began his career with department in January 2009 as a patrolman working his way up through the ranks.

In May 2022, LPD Captain Steve Wallen, right, leads a drug raid.

Wallen became chief in August 2022 after previous Chief Bill Rhoel retired.

Wallen’s last day with the department will be January 10, 2025. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-12/23/2024-6AM)
