Not far from Chadwell’s Market on Long Hollow Road is where this pick-up truck flipped on its side.

CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN (WLAF) – A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Campbell County through WLAF Saturday at 6:53pm, and the warning was extended after the initial announcement until 8:11pm. During the storm, the Campbell County Rural Fire Service was challenged with three calls over a two hour span, 7:30pm until 9:30pm.

The rain was pouring during CCRFS’s first emergency run Saturday evening.

The first CCRFS call was to the Pinecrest  community where a home that had been hit by lightning. Shortly after crews cleared that call, crews were dispatched to the South High Knob area for another home that had been hit by lightning. There was minor damage to both homes, and no one was injured.

No injuries were suffered in any of the three CCRFS calls.

About an hour after that flurry, crews were dispatched to Long Hollow Road on the south side of La Follette near Chadwell’s Market. A pick-up truck flipped on its side. No injuries were suffered by the driver, the lone occupant. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/10/2023-11:30AM)
