Firefighters fought two fires during the heat of a dangerously hot day on Wednesday
CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN (WLAF)- Firefighters with the Campbell County Rural Fire Service were called out to two structure fires, both within a couple of hours on Wednesday.

At 12:28pm, CCRFS crews were dispatched to the 2800 block of Pinecrest Road at Jacksboro. It was reported that there was a fire on the back porch of a house. Crews were able to contain the fire to the back of the home.
Just after crews cleared the first call, they were dispatched at 1:58pm to Earl Woodson Lane, in the valley not far from the Frontier Store, for a report of a house fire.

When crews arrived, they found heavy fire from one end of the structure. No one was home at the time of the fire.
During the second fire, a firefighter was treated for heat related issues but was not transported to the hospital. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-07/17/2025-6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF CCRFS CAPTAIN DANIEL LAWSON)
