Firefighters fought two fires during the heat of a dangerously hot day on Wednesday

CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN (WLAF)- Firefighters with the Campbell County Rural Fire Service were called out to two structure fires, both within a couple of hours on Wednesday.

A home was saved along with other nearby homes when firefighters extinguished this back porch blaze.

At 12:28pm, CCRFS crews were dispatched to the 2800 block of Pinecrest Road at Jacksboro. It was reported that there was a fire on the back porch of a house. Crews were able to contain the fire to the back of the home.

Just after crews cleared the first call, they were dispatched at 1:58pm to Earl Woodson Lane, in the valley not far from the Frontier Store, for a report of a house fire.

There was no one at home at the time of this fire.

When crews arrived, they found heavy fire from one end of the structure. No one was home at the time of the fire.
