Rehearsals continue for members of the CCHS Theatre Arts class

JACKSBORO, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)- Mark your calendars for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

The Campbell County High School Theatre Arts classes will present, through special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Denver, Colorado, a captivatingly comedic tale of mystery, jealousy, and murder – “Murder at the Pie Auction” by Michael Druce. This play will leave you in stitches as you solve motive and mayhem surrounding the cut-throat world of professional pie baking during the nationally acclaimed  “Mother Mabel’s Pie-Baking Contest and Auction” hosted in Mynute, Alaska!

The performance takes place on Tuesday, November 25, 6:30pm, Campbell High Auditorium

This year’s play is a bit different, as we realize that daily life is a bit more difficult to manage, so we in the Theatre Arts Department would like to gift our community this Thanksgiving. Admission to this show is free, but preferential seating will be given to the families of the students enrolled in Theatre Arts at CCHS. After all family members have been seated, additional seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Prior to the beginning of the play, we will play an interactive game in which the audience will be gifted “Cougar Dollars”. At the conclusion of the play, we will conduct an auction of pies using these Cougar Dollars. It is our hope that several families will be able to leave with pies to share at their Thanksgiving dinners.
