CLINTON, TN (WLAF)- Last Saturday, the Campbell County High School Band travelled to the Clinch River Classic (CRC) band competition at Clinton High School earning second place in band, percussion, and drum major, with “excellent and superior ratings.â€
According to Assistant Band Director Tiffany Braden, the students received 2nd place across seven groups in the 2A and 3A classifications.
“The band was actually less than a point away from taking the 1st place win. Last year at CRC, we were in 4th place, so it was awesome to see that improvement! It’s early in the season, so I can’t wait to see how they keep improving,†Braden said.

This year, the program that CCHS is performing is entitled “A Pirate’s Adventure”!
“I’m incredibly proud of how hard these students work to be successful. We will compete against a couple of the same groups this Saturday, so the students have come back ready to win! They are fired up for competition season and ready to work even harder as we approach more competitions!†Braden said.

The Cougar Marching Band heads to Karns Marching Invitational to compete this Saturday.
 Good Luck Marching Cougars!
