OAK RIDGE, TN (WLAF) – The Lady Cougar Soccer team travelled to Oak Ridge Thursday evening for a district match up.
Oak Ridge came out and struck lightning quick scoring two goals within the first four minutes of the game. Â Although down early, the Cougars played aggressive ball with speed not seen in recent games. Â Aside from being unable to score in the first half, the Cougars kept the Wildcats from adding to their lead. Â See Amber Cowell’s photo gallery of 115 snapshots HERE.

The second half started and saw the Wildcats scoring in the fifteenth minute making the score 3-0. Â The Wildcats played a very physical game giving the Cougars multiple free kicks throughout the match. Â Audry Biship took one of those free kicks and was able to arch it just out of the Wildcat’s goalkeeper’s reach making the score 3-1.

This would be the only goal scored from Campbell County, but Oak Ridge was able to add three more to their score which left the final tally 6-1.
