Trip back in time Saturday at 7pm over WLAF, where you first heard all these old songs

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The fun of Casey Kasem’s American Top 40 The 70s trips back to July 10, 1971, Saturday at 7 pm over WLAF radio. The fun three hours of memories are brought to you by Maynard’s Auto Parts and State Representative Dennis Powers.

The survey’s biggest mover is Chicago’s double sided hit, Beginnings/Colour My World, leaping 22 spots while Carole King’s two sided smash, It’s Too Late/I Feel the Earth Move, was riding high. Take Me Home, Country Roads was a hit for John Denver with Fat City. Chase had a one hit wonder in Get It On. In addition to these songs, you’ll hear the nation’s other top 36 songs over WLAF just like they all played here on the old radio station in 1971.

American Top 40, The 70s airs Saturday nights at 7:00 o’clock and Sundays at 8pm over WLAF’s FM 100.9 and AM 1450 and is brought to you by Maynard’s Wrecker Service & Auto Parts and State Representative Dennis Powers.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/12/2024-6AM)
