LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Bluegrass and big fun can be found at the 23rd annual Bluegrass Breakdown this Saturday, July 13th! CASA of Campbell County is still accepting last minute table sponsorships for its annual Bluegrass Breakdown fundraiser, and tickets are still available as well. This is the only fundraising event that CASA does each year, and monies raised play a huge role in the operation of the program, according to CASA Director Jan Jones.

“CASA is a non-profit organization that is funded through grants and individual donations; the annual Blue Grass Breakdown is important to keep our program operational,” Jones said.

The 23rd annual Bluegrass Breakdown is Saturday, July 13, at the Ball Farm Event Center. Doors open at 4:30 and the event kicks off at 5pm.  Come out to the Ball Farm Event Center and enjoy fun for the whole family while supporting a great cause for Campbell County Children.

Tickets are $30 for adults, $15 for youth 17 and under and free for children 5 and under.

Tickets may be purchased at CASA of Campbell County or at ORNL Bank in LaFollette, from any CASA board member or staff or by PAYPAL to cc.casa@comcast.net.

This annual fundraiser is integral for CASA, which will use the funds to recruit and train volunteers and advocates.

According to Jones, fundraising plays a very important role in the CASA Program.

“Funds raised at this event will enable us to recruit and train volunteers to be a voice for the abused and neglected children here in Campbell County. All too often these children are removed from their homes and placed in foster care while having to face the court system alone. For any child this can be a very scary time in their life. That is where a CASA volunteer Advocate steps up, they work the assigned case and appear in court to make sure that child’s voice is heard,” Jones said.

CASA of Campbell County is a 501(c)(3) organization established in 2007 for the wellbeing of Campbell County’s children.
