CARYVILLE, TN. (WLAF)- The Caryville Volunteer Fire Department will be accepting applications for full-time employment. The town will accept applications until the position is filled. The Town of Caryville reserves the right to stop taking applications at any time. This position will be Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm. Applications can be picked up and returned to the Town of Caryville Municipal building: 4839 Old Hwy 63, Caryville, TN 37714.

           Minimum Qualifications:

                     *  Must be 18 years of age

                       * Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

                      * Must have a valid driver’s license

                       *Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening

                     *  Fire Training. 16/64/Live Burn

           Benefits:

                      * 40 hour work week

                       *$31,200 annual base salary

           Essential Duties:

                      * Prepare equipment for emergencies

*Maintain fire station: general cleaning, painting, pressure washing, waxing, mowing/weed eating.

*Participate in training and drills for all types of emergency and non-emergency situations

*Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls: fires, vehicle crashes / extrication, public assistance, medical emergencies, etc.

*All other duties will be determined by the supervisor.
