Campbell United Resource Fair is Sat., Oct. 18

LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- Campbell United, Campbell County’s anti-drug coalition, will be holding its second Community Resource Fair on October 18th at the LaFollette Church of God from 11am to 2 pm.

 The coalition members met at TCAT on Thursday at noon for its October meeting. Organizers discussed plans for the upcoming Resource Fair.

Vendors will be set up with information representing their non-profit or organization such as the Campbell County Children’s Center, CASA of Campbell County, the County Mayor’s Office, Tennessee College of Applied Technology, and others. 

The purpose of the event is to bring together multiple organizations and nonprofits to hand out information about resources they offer so the citizens of Campbell County can know what is available to them.

The Resource Fair will have hotdogs, cotton candy, and popcorn for the public that day.

Last year, the coalition held a drive and collected diapers. Campbell United will once again be collecting drive items such as diapers, 2T through 5T pull-ups for youth, and other children’s hygiene items like baby wipes for this resource fair.

Organizers are asking for any area churches or organizations or individuals who want to volunteer for set up or to bring drive items to contact the coalition.

Churches and nonprofits can set up information and service booths for the event if they have “free items or information to get out to benefit the public.”
