I think it’s time someone gets voted out or forced to resign and ALL jail administration need to be fired. This is getting out of hand and those responsible for the inmates and their well being have to be held accountable!
It’s hard to hold people accountable when inmates use their body cavities as hiding spots. What do you want, then to start doing cavity searches on every inmate??? It’s not tye corrections, or the sheriffs fault. Get over yourself and stop blaming good people for criminals actions!!!
How about blame the criminals that like to hide contraband in their body cavities! It’s not the corrections officers or the sheriff responsible for this. Do you think every inmate should be cavity searched?? I think that would be unconstitutional! Stop blaming good people for bad peoples actions
these are drug related deaths…so sad that they are on drugs when arrested…they are trying their best to keep drugs out of the jail…
Some of these inmates that have died have been in county for awhile, so yes this is on the jail keepers to ensure drugs are not getting to the inmates, 2 dead in 2 weeks is 2 too many especially when they have been in the jail for over 30 days. Drugs are getting in some how. And it is up to Law Enforcement to make sure this isn’t happening.
I know we have corrupt cops here, that give the good ones a bad name. So, please let’s stop pretending all law enforcement is good or bad. It’s the bad ones that make it hard to tell which ones are on the right side.
Not a safe place for our loved ones who make mistakes in their life prayers for all the inmates and to get rid of the drugs inside
I Did prison evangelism for seven years before I became pastor of Bethel Baptist Church. I had a case about 3 feet by 2 feet with 3 layers 1 layer was things people used to hide or take drugs. These things were given to me by a police dept in North Carolina. Two layers were weapons prisoners 18-21 years old had made while in prison. When I showed this display in the Churches people were amazed at what they saw. One lady told me she had saw a numbers of the things in the drug display in her home before her son was arrested. One young man was walking through the prison with a zipped up bible, the officers checked the it had a 38 pistol in a cutout place. A woman brought a bible to Georgie state prison to give to her husband when the Chaplain who was my personal friend took the bible he knew something was not right. When he opened the bible it had a 38 pistol loaded all the way around. Many of those prisoners are very smart in how to con the officers the first three letters of convict is con. No doubt there are some mistakes made but we must consider who the officers must deal with. Many of the prisoners have been raised in good homes by God fearing people. But like the prophet Isaiah said all we like sheep have gone astray. So let all of us that know the value of prayer pray for the officer and the prisoners as well. Let all of us do all we can to help the officers.
