State Representative Dennis Powers hosts members of the Campbell County High School Beta Club

On Monday, State Representative Dennis Powers welcomed members of the CCHS Beta Club to the State Capitol.

NASHVILLE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)- The Campbell County High School Beta Club visited the Tennessee State Capitol on Monday and had visits with State Representative Dennis Powers and Governor Bill Lee.  

Powers met with CCHS teacher Josh Parker and members of the club for about 20 minutes in a committee room to talk about state government and a bill that Powers will be presenting on recognizing a “Victims of Communism” day in Tennessesee schools.  

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee shared time on Monday with CCHS Beta Club members.

Powers stated, “I always look forward to the Beta Club coming down for an annual visit.  They always impress me with their knowledge and questions.”

After the meeting with Powers, the club proceeded to the Capitol to have a photo taken with Governor Lee.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-12/16/2025-6AM)
