Backboards were replaced Monday at Brown Gym

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- When adjustments were being made to the padding last week at Brown Gym, the north side of the gym’s backboard shattered. The shatter sent Co-Athletic Director Ryan Browning into a hurry up offense.

“I was on the phone with jaypro sports, the folks who make the backboards, in New Haven, Connecticut, Thursday, and the new backboards were shipped, arrived and were installed on Monday,” said Browning.

“I was sweating it there for a while given our first home game is Tuesday,” said a relived Browning at Tuesday afternoon’s Lady Cougar practice.

The rims remain the same, though they are really tight, but they’ll be adjusted, according to Browning. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-11/19/2024-6AM)
