There’ll be bakers & farmers, sewers & wood workers, beekeepers & many other crafters

WLAF’s Charlie Hutson shares a wave from Farmers Market vendors last May.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- What began in circa 2009 opens back up for another season on Saturday, April 25, and you’re invited to come out. The Farmers Market hours come April 25 will be Saturdays from 8am until 2pm in the big parking lot on the hill across from Doyle’s Tire Shop at 2520 Jacksboro Pike.

Megan Colley has been the manager of the Farmers Market since 2016 and continues signing up vendors for this season. “Several vendors will be on hand for the first weekend with more coming onboard as we get further into the season,” said Colley.

Megan Colley is in her 10th year of managing the Farmers Market.

Items and selection vary each week as the season goes along. “There are all kinds of great items including farm fresh eggs and honey, handcrafted decorations and gifts. There are even flowers. Of course, fresh produce abounds in its season. You’ll also find homemade baked goods, soaps, garden plants, woodcrafts and more,” said Colley.

Colley will be on hand as always. She’ll feature her Tied & True tent with lots of tie-dye T-shirts and other items.

“The selection at the Farmers Market varies from week to week. So, you’ll want to visit us often,” said Colley.
