Byrge’s request for street closure granted by planning commission

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- A special called meeting for the LaFollette Regional Planning Commission took place Monday at City Hall.

This meeting centered around the tabled item from last week which was a street/alley closure at 901 West Kentucky Avenue.

A motion was made to raise the item from the table so a discussion could be conducted about the issue.

The portion of the road that was requested to be closed borders property owned by Mr. Johnny Byrge on both sides.

Codes Officer Stuart Hurwitz checked out the road in question since last week’s meeting and recommends the commission approving this motion and sending it on to Council.
