To Whom it May Concern:

It is with much gratitude that I submit my resignation from my position as a school board member representing the Third District of the Campbell County Board of Education, effective July 31, 2024.

Serving on the board for the past 24 years has been an honor.  I have cherished the opportunity to work alongside such dedicated professionals and community members who are unwavering in their commitment to improving our schools and enhancing the educational experiences of our students.

I would like to extend my deepest thanks to the voters of the Third District for entrusting me with the responsibility of representing you on the board. Your support and confidence have been instrumental in our achievements, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve our community.

A special thank you goes to my wife, Laura, for always being by my side with her love, support and encouragement.  I would not have been able to serve without her support and also the undying support of my 4 daughters and their families.  Thank you all so much.

I am proud of the accomplishments we have achieved together, for improving academic performance and upgrading all facilities to enhancing the resources available to our teachers and students.  I will cherish the relationships and memories I have formed during my tenure.

Please know that I remain dedicated to the mission of the Campbell County Board of Education and will support its’ endeavors in any way I can.  Moving forward, I am hopeful to continue to serve our community in a different capacity, contributing to its’ ongoing success and development.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve our community.  I wish the board and the entire Campbell County school district continued success in all future endeavors.  I am confident that the board will continue to thrive and make significant advancements in our educational programs and policies.

Sincerely,

Johnny Byrge
