Other agencies offer assistance to Caryville Volunteer Fire Department
CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF)- Saturday morning started real early for firefighters with the Caryville Volunteer Fire Department as well as for those agencies assisting CVFD; Jacksboro, La Follette, Campbell County Rural Fire Departments and Caryville Police.

At 12:19am, the call of an out building and truck fire (photo below) came in to Central Dispatch, according CVFD Chief Eddie Hatmaker. Fire units responded to Bruce Gap Road. The truck was a total loss and the building was destroyed. There were no injuries as all units cleared the scene around 2am.

A Caryville Police Officer spotted a fire Sunday evening at the Caryville Elementary School on Elkins Road. A 30-yard roll off dumpster behind the school was on fire prompting a response from the Caryville Volunteer Fire Department with mutual aid provided by the Jacksboro Fire Department.
