Campbell High football practice approved to be held within the hours of the school day

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- The Campbell County Board of Education met Tuesday evening, approving multiple beginning of the school year business items, including the school’s internet use policy, the annual agreement with the sheriff’s department, among multiple others.

Action items approved included the approval of the inclusion of football as a regular activity within the hours of the school day in the master schedule at Campbell County High School. 

A memorandum of understanding between Campbell County, and the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office and the Campbell County Public School System was approved

Other action items approved was a copier agreement for Jacksboro Middle School, as well as an agreement for the Navigate 360 Elementary SEL Service Agreement.

A contract between the BOE and Weeks, Ambrose McDonald, Inc. for the CCHS Indoor Practice Facility project was approved as well.

The school board approved increases in adult and visitor breakfast and lunch prices to reflect the annual child reimbursement rates for the 2024-2025 school year. Staff breakfast is $2.25, visitor breakfast is $2.75, staff lunch is $4.00, visitor lunch if $4.50, Visitor holiday meal is $4.75.

In other business, an addendum changing the date for the CCHS Raider Competition in Grainger County was approved. The date was changed from September 7 to October 5.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/14/2024-6AM)
