Bobcat court is now The Jason Dotson Court at VVES

Named in honor of VVES Principal and Coach Jason Dotson

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Over the recent Christmas break, the gymnasium floor at Valley View Elementary School received a minor change with the lettering and signature being placed on the hardwood for The Jason Dotson Court. In November, the Campbell County Board of Education approved naming the floor in honor of VVES Principal and Coach Jason Dotson.

During the last home game of the year in November, BOE Chairman Jeffrey Miller surprised Dotson by unveiling a picture of what the court would look like.

Dotson started his career at Jacksboro Elementary School, teaching third grade, and then went on to teach for nine years at LaFollette Middle School (LMS) as a technology teacher. Dotson also coached the Owls Basketball team for several years at LMS.

Over the past 12 years, Dotson has served as principal at VVES. He is in his 22nd year in the Campbell County Schools System.
