CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN. (WLAF)- Unless it’s an emergency, don’t be on the roads. That is the request of Campbell County 911 at the moment. Black ice has resulted in accidents along the county’s stretch of I-75.

The northbound side of I-75 is shut down starting near the 134 exit due to black ice and accidents. There have been several accidents on both sides of the interstate with authorities deeming it “non- passable.”

There are numerous tractor trailers and vehicles involved in multiple accidents but no serious injuries are reported, according to 911 dispatchers.

It is “extremely slick,” authorities said.

Traffic at the Campbell/ Anderson County line has been shut down in response to the accidents further up the road. Resources are currently stretched, 911 staff said.

They are asking people not to be on the roads unless its unavoidable.
