Billy Ray Lawson Sr. age 81 of Knoxville, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024. He was born on December 16, 1942, to the late Lee Lawson and Myrtle Lawson.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Carlos Lawson; sisters Fayette Rutherford, Portia Jones, Patsy Massengill, and Deanna Lawson.

Billy is survived by his brother Larry Lawson; daughter Tamara Maggard of Corbin, Ky; son Billy Ray Lawson Jr. of Knoxville; grandchildren Sidney Breeden, Riley Melton, and Charlee Maggard; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday May 17, 2024 from 5 PM to 7 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home at 305 E. Beech Street LaFollette. Military Honors will be provided by the Campbell County Honor Guard following the visitation at 7 PM.
