Billie Sue Statzer Boshears, age 89 of LaFollette

Billie Sue Statzer Boshears, age 89 of LaFollette, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Cumberland Village. She was born on July 17, 1935, to the late Richard Lee Statzer and Pearl Flora Pennington Statzer. Billie loved to quilt, sewing, working in her flowers, her dog Benji, watching the Vols football and basketball teams, and the Tennessee Titans. She also retired from Imperial Reading.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Este Faye Statzer Muse Cannon and special cousin Gideon Foust.

Billie is survived by her loving son Gary Wayne Boshears; special granddaughter Amber Brooke Hoskins and husband Curtis; nephew David Muse of LaFollette; nieces Debroah Pigg and Porsha Shaw both of LaFollette; good friends Ray and Pat Paul and family of LaFollette; great grandchildren Blakely, Ella, Ridley, Harper, and Barrett; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 PM on Sunday, February 23, 2025, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Sampson Ridenour officiating. Interment to follow funeral service at Queener Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Lois Brady for everything she did to help mom, and a special thanks to the Staff at Cumberland Village Nursing Home for their care.
