This Tulip Poplar tree, the state tree of Tennessee, bloomed on Sunday in south Campbell County on Demory Road.

Sorry, but I don’t think this is a Tulip Poplar. More likely a Flowering Plum.

  This appears to be a Magnolia x soulangeana. This is not our state tree the tulip poplar(Liriodendron tulipifera). Technically speaking the tulip poplar is in the magnolia family, but is a totally different tree.
