Barry Lewis Petree age 53 of Rocky Top, TN passed away at his home unexpectedly Thursday July 11th 2024. He was born May 28th 1971 to John Lewis and Rebecca Poore Petree of Lafollette TN

He was such a kind, loving, caring man. He had a heart of gold, would do anything to help anyone. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, singing, playing his guitar, spending time with friends and family. He loved his family and God. He was a member of Rocky Top Church of Christ.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and June Petree of Lafollette; Bruce and Jessee Poore of Lake City; uncles, Ronnie Poore, Bruce Jr. Poore; aunts, Delphia Rose, Eunice Poore, Debbie Poore, Twila Poore, Shelia Poore; and cousin, Kevin Lee Poore.

He is survived by: mother, Rebecca Tackett; father, John Lewis Petree; step-father, Carl Tackett; wife, Angie Petree; daughter, Larissa Petree; sons, Trenton and Bentley Petree; grandson, Jayden Hatfield; brothers, Gary Petree, Jeremy Tackett, and Ben Tackett; sisters-in-law, Amanda Tackett, and Danielle Tackett; several nieces, nephews and cousins; aunts, Juanita Wynn, Norma Phillips, and Paula Petree; uncles, Eddie Poore, Otis Poore, David Poore, Ralph Poore, Johnny Poore, Joe Petree, Terry Petree and Gary Petree

The family will receive friends at the Rocky Top Church of Christ on Monday, July 15, 2024 from 5-7pm with the funeral service to follow at 7pm with Bruce Holt and Bryan Brown officiating.
