High volume of emergency intakes prompts immediate move by shelter
JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The Campbell County Animal Shelter is closed to intakes effective immediately in anticipation of a high volume of emergency intakes. Unfortunately, the shelter has multiple owner surrender intake appointments this week that will have to be rescheduled. Since owner surrenders are the lowest priority intakes, these will be put off indefinitely.
The census will be reevaluated next week once the emergency numbers and statuses are determined and a decision on how to handle upcoming intakes will be posted. Multiple factors will be considered once the numbers and statuses of the emergency intakes are determined. While shelter personnel will do their best to honor scheduled appointments, sometimes they do have to reschedule.
If you have an upcoming owner surrender appointment, please contact the shelter for more information. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/19/2024-6AM)
