Saw a fire and called 911

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- An observant Amazon driver making deliveries along White Rock Road in Jacksboro on Wednesday evening likely saved a family’s home from being destroyed by fire. The driver noticed the porch of the home was on fire and called 911.

At 6:37 Wednesday evening, Campbell County Rural Fire Service firefighters were dispatched to the home not far off River Road for a report of a porch on fire.

A porch fire was quickly extinguished.

CCRFS firefighters were able to contain the fire to the porch before it was able to reach the actual structure of the home.

There were no injuries.

The homeowners were not at home at the time of the fire and came back home about the time firefighters were ready to clear the scene.

Two CCRFS Units responded.
