A two car wreck happened at the height of going home time for lots of folks

This Honda collided with a KIA and after the contact, the Honda rammed this light pole on the Peoples Bank of the South corner.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- A two-year old child sustained injuries when two cars collided in the heart of Downtown La Follette around 4:30pm Monday.

After the two cars, a Honda and a KIA, collided, the Honda struck the light pole where Central and Tennessee Avenues meet on the Peoples Bank of the South corner. The KIA ended up in the bank’s parking lot.

La Follette Police Officer Adam Southern works on the accident report while a paramedic tends to the two men in the KIA.

Traffic heading toward Jacksboro (west) was funneled into one lane, the passing lane, while eastbound travelers were not able to turn onto North Tennessee Avenue.

A child in this car was injured.

La Follette Fire and Police, Campbell County EMS, along with the Campbell Sheriff’s Office, cleared the scene a tad after 5pm. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-10/21/2024-5PM)
