Chamber Executive Director Missy Tackett, County Mayor Jack Lynch and State Representative Dennis Powers were among the local leaders offering welcoming and congratulatory comments.

“We’re really excited to be here in Jacksboro, and what’s really nice about us is that we have same day appointments and walk-ins are welcome,” said Caroline Barton, Integrated Marketing and Communications Manager for Access. The new clinic is on the four lane at Jane Way Lane across from Terry’s Pharmacy-Jacksboro.

Access Medical Clinic is open Monday through Thursday from 7am until 7pm. Friday’s hours are 7am to 5pm. The clinic has special weekend hours on Sunday, 9am to 3pm. Lunch break is from 12 until 12:30pm. The office telephone number is 423.374.7775.

“Not a lot of folks want to be open on Sunday, and being open then allows patients access to care when they otherwise wouldn’t have it,” said Howie Freeman, Senior Vice-President of the Clinic Division.

“As primary care access, we provide care for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, managing primary care needs as well as the acute items that may pop up from ear infections to strep throat, sinus infections and such,” said Freeman.

Access Medical Clinic-Jacksboro becomes the company’s 60th clinic and second in the region with another location at Clinton.
Both Barton and Freeman expressed their excitement of being in Jacksboro and the community. “We’re competitive providing great care to those who give us a shot,” said Freeman. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-07/09/2026-6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF WLAF’S CHARLIE HUTSON)
