JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Educators make a difference in students’ lives every day. For many students, having a school employee who cares and goes that extra mile can be the difference in a successful education and graduation. We’ve all had that teacher, or school employee who inspired us or helped in some way. That’s why WLAF and Eagle Tire Pros salute all of our hardworking educators with a weekly feature.

Aaron Brown is Eagle Tire Pros Educator of the Week. He teaches Fifth Grade Math and Science at Jacksboro Elementary School and has been an educator for 10 years. He also serves as the boys and girls basketball coach at Jacksboro Elementary.

Brown was “born and raised in Campbell County and has lived in Jacksboro his entire life!”

He attended Jacksboro Elementary and Middle school and graduated from Campbell County High school.

He shared a little about himself and what he enjoys doing when he’s not teaching.

Aaron Brown is Eagle Tire Pros Educator of the Week; he teaches 5th grade Math and Science at Jacksboro Elementary School and also serves as the boys and girls basketball coach at Jacksboro Elementary. He is pictured with his wife Mackenzie.

“I love basketball and currently coach the boys’ and girls’ teams at Jacksboro Elementary School. I also own Mugs Ice Cream and work there with my family when I am not teaching or coaching,” Brown said.

According to Brown, he was inspired to become an educator by his parents and his family.

“Growing up, both of my parents, Randy and Stacey Brown, have inspired my sister and me to work hard at whatever we do. We have learned a lot from them both. I have had an amazing example as a teacher set for me as my mom is a teacher at Jacksboro Middle School. My sister, Olivia McKamey, and her husband, Kelly McKamey, also work as nurse practitioners to help others each and every day. My family plays a huge part in how I perceive teaching in how hard I work to do my best to help others” Brown said.

It is also what he believes the Lord has led him to do.

His favorite part of his job is watching his students succeed.

“I love seeing my students be successful. It makes my day to see them understand and apply something that we have learned together in class,” Brown said.
