CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – A LaFollette man was arrested on drug charges after being reported as publicly intoxicated at the Shell gas station in Caryville. Â Brent Allen Goins, 27, was arrested on Saturday by Caryville Police after they received a report that Goins was intoxicated at the gas station.
After arriving at the station, officers found Goins driving away and initiated a traffic stop for a welfare check. As they stopped Goins, officers noted he appeared to be “bending over the seat and hiding something,†according to the police report. After searching Goins, officers found a clear plastic container with 19.20 grams of a crystal like substance believed to be meth in the pocket of his jacket.
Goins was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of meth with intent to manufacture/resale and was transported to jail. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/22/2020-6AM)
