Mobile home lost to fire early Wednesday

RIDGEWOOD, TN (WLAF)- Firefighters with the Ridgewood Volunteer Fire Department were paged to the report of a structure fire at 2:20 on Wednesday morning. It was in the 1600 block of Cherry Bottom Road.

“When we arrived, we were met with heavy fire and smoke coming from a mobile home,” said RVFD Chief Dylan Roach. The chief adds that the structure had self ventilated, and additionally, the fire was coming from the roof.

“The mobile home had a second roof built onto it,” said Chief Roach.

No injuries were reported, and the home was believed to be vacant.
